knows about you.

Hakim Numérique, a web development studio based in Montréal, Québec, is responsible for the personal information collected by this site.

The role of person in charge of the protection of personal information is held by the person with the highest authority in the studio, namely its owner. You can reach them at studio@hakimnumerique.com. The same person answers the access, correction and deletion requests described below.

Two forms exist on this site, and they alone collect information.

The contact form

Found on the “Start a project” page. It collects your name, your email address, the type of project and budget range you select, and the description you write. That description is a free-text field: write only what your request requires.

Discovery questionnaires

These are private questionnaires sent by direct link to an organization with which a conversation has already started. They are reachable from no menu and are excluded from search engine indexing. They collect your answers to questions about your organization, your goals and your project, including the name of the person designated as contact.

The honeypot field

Each form contains an invisible field meant to detect bots. If it is filled in, the submission is abandoned and nothing is sent. This field collects no information about you.

For one reason only: to answer your request and, where applicable, prepare a proposal. Answers to discovery questionnaires are used to frame a project before a meeting.

Your information is never used to send you a newsletter, feed a prospect list, run targeted advertising or build a profile. It is never sold, rented or traded.

No decision concerning you is made through automated processing.

Nothing is written to a database. This site does not have one. Each form submission becomes an email, sent to the studio’s mailbox, then kept in that mailbox like any other received email.

Two providers are technically involved along the way: Resend, which delivers the email, and Vercel, which hosts the site. Both companies are established in the United States: your information therefore travels outside Québec for the duration of that delivery. It is processed there solely for the technical delivery of the message, and no other third party has access to it.

If you choose to write to the studio on WhatsApp rather than through the form, that conversation takes place on Meta’s infrastructure, outside Québec, under its own retention rules — over which the studio has no control. For anything binding, a proposal, a contract or sensitive information, use email instead.

No information is disclosed to a commercial partner, an advertiser or a data broker.

This site sets no cookies. It uses no analytics tool, no tracking pixel, no social network script, and no font or script loaded for profiling purposes. There is therefore no consent banner to display, for lack of anything to consent to. The WhatsApp link on the contact page is an ordinary link: it loads nothing and reports your visit to no one unless you click it.

The host keeps technical connection logs, as any web server does, for security and service availability.

Request with no follow-up

Twelve months after the last exchange, then the email and its attachments are deleted.

Twelve months after it was submitted.

Completed project

For the duration of the project, then six years after the end of the relevant fiscal year, to meet applicable accounting and tax obligations.

After these periods, the information is destroyed. You may ask for its deletion before the deadline.

Québec law grants you the right to:

• know what information the studio holds about you, and obtain a copy of it;
• have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected;
• withdraw your consent at any time;
• request the deletion of information that is no longer necessary;
• receive the information you provided in a structured, commonly used technological format, or ask that it be transferred to a third party;
• file a complaint with the supervisory authority if the answer does not satisfy you.

Write to studio@hakimnumerique.com stating what you are asking for: access, correction, deletion or portability. Include the email address used when you wrote, so the right request can be found.

You will receive an answer within thirty days of receipt, as the law requires. Deletion is carried out free of charge, except where a legal obligation requires certain documents to be kept — in which case the answer will tell you which ones and why.

No identity document is required for a simple deletion. For an access request, a proportionate verification may be necessary so that your information is not handed to someone else.

The site is served over HTTPS and sends security headers that restrict framing of its pages by third parties and prevent content-type sniffing. Forms are validated server-side and protected against automated submissions.

The absence of a database and of user accounts is a deliberate choice: this site cannot suffer the breach of a database it does not have.

In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, the persons concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information would be notified, and the incident recorded in a register, as the law requires.

If the studio’s answer does not satisfy you, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, the authority responsible for overseeing the application of the law: cai.gouv.qc.ca.

This policy may change if the studio’s practices change. The update date at the top of the page indicates the version in force. A change never applies retroactively to information already collected.
